Customer's Fault Description
It wasn't working so I presumed it just required a new battery. However, when I opened the back there was a loose wire (black).
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a damaged battery cable.

Also, there was contamination over the PCB (see image).  The PCB was cleared of contaminants and then the battery cable replaced.  It was then found that the buttons were sluggish in response. All 3 buttons were replaced.  Full functionality was restored.
