Customers Fault Description : Suddenly no power to remote at all

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This gas fire remote control arrived safely and on testing weas confirmed to be dead.

This was due to a SMD diode breaking away from the PCB.  Once replaced, functionality was restored.
