Customer's Fault Description
the rechargeable batteries have leaked through lack of use, making the remote control useless as no keys work on it when pressed. I use the amplifier a lot but normally only from one source so I rarely need the remote. I use the electric plug switch to turn the amplifier on and off.
I have removed these batteries from the product.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Yamaha surround amplifier remote arrived safely and on testing was dead. This was due to corroded battery terminals from a battery leak. The terminals were replaced which restored full functionality to all buttons.
