Yamaha Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Yamaha

Customers Fault Description : the rechargeable batteries have leaked through lack of use, making the remote control useless as no keys work on it when pressed. I use the amplifier a lot but normally only from one source so I rarely need the remote. I use the electric plug switch to turn the amplifier on and off. I have removed these batteries from the product.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Yamaha surround amplifier remote arrived safely and on testing was dead.  This was due to corroded battery terminals from a battery leak. The terminals were replaced which restored full functionality to all buttons.
