Gazco gas fire
Customer's Fault Description
On elf the wires has become disconnected from the battery connector. I took the back of the remote and it looks like another wire inside is also disconnected from the circuit board. When it's functioning there should be a display on the little LED screen. This one is specifically paired with my fire and if I get a new one the fire would have to be taken out and reprogrammed.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Remote control for a gas fire arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was missing (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available)/
The remote was dead due to a faulty battery cable. A replacement cable was fitted which restored full functionality.
The extra black wire is actually the aerial which is only connected at one end, this is normal.
