Bose Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Bose
Customers Fault Description : Sound system bleeps when power is connected but the remote will not switch it on. The Bose site suggests that when a source button is pressed all 5 source buttons should light up which they do. As suggested on the Bose site I have pointed the remote at my iphone camera but no signal is detected.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This Bose Remote controller for Bose Solo 15 TV Sound system arrived safely and on testing was found to not transmit an IR signal on any button press.
This was found to be due to the IR LED breaking away from the PCB. This was soldered firmly back into place which restored full functionality.
