Customer's Fault Description
changed batteries and works for a brief bit, but then stops working. assuming loose connections etc. inherited it when moving into our house and had to cover the outside as the back of the remote was sticky (not sure this has anything to do with the insides, but may do)
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Extractor fan remote control arrived sdafely and on testing was found to be dead. The Case is held together using tape due to broken fixing pins, this cannot be replaced as spare cases are not available.
The issue was caused by corrosion on one of the terminals which was causing an intermittent battery connection. The terminal was etched clean which restored full functionality.
