It stopped working. Light does not come on. The gas service man changed batteries in both fire and remote but no joy
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace control arrived safely from Ireland and on testing was confirmed to be dead.

This was due to a faulty battery cable, a replacement was fitted which restored full functionality.
