Customer's Fault Description
Won't power on, so not sure if other buttons work. Tried batteries, no joy.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace control arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a broken battery cover (this cannot be replaced as spares are not available, it has been reattached using a small amount of tape)
On testing the button response was sluggish / non existent. On opening this was found to be due to worn button contacts and contaminated pcb. The button pads were reconductivised by gluing replacement button caps into place. The PCB was then cleaned of all contaminants which restored full functionality.
