Customer's Fault Description
Unit became wet, red LED works but does not transmit a signal.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This garage door controller arrived safely and on testing the button response was sluggish and the signal was very weak.
On opening there were two issues, the first being that the button array contacts were heavily corroded (see image), this was all cleaned up. The second issue was that the inserted battery was the wrong type. This item requires 2 cr2016 sandwiched together making 6 volts, not a single cr2032 which is just 3 volts. The batteries were replaced with the correct type. The control now works as per normal operation.
