Customer's Fault Description
BUTTONS FAIL TO OPERATE FIRE, THE LIGHT DOES NOT OPERATE AT TOP OF CONTROLLER.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On the IR led and oscillator was replaced but sadly the remote remained dead. The issue is now with the main IC which unfortunately is encased in resin (see image) which makwes a repair not possible.
We do however have clones available, these will function with the fire but do look different (see below for an image of the clone next to an original), these are priced at £20 plus £6 postage (same as a repair cost).
