Customer's Fault Description
The remote had milk spilt on it so it has soaked in the up and down buttons have been sticky/stuck and the LED screen has stopped working it normally shows the temp of the room
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Gazco remote arrived safely and on inspection the display was contaminated with milk and on testing the response was erratic, also no temperature was displayed.
On opening, there was a mass of contamination under the screen (see image). The screen was removed which revealed that the oscillator was broken on one of its legs (it had corroded straight through). The contamination was cleaned up and the oscillator replaced which restored full functionality.
