Remote failed to function. Added a checked replacement battery and remote still not functioning.

This Paragon remote control arrived safely and on testing the battery terminals were found to be very loose making a power connection poor.

The terminals were tightened and resoldered to reinforce them and also the buttons were replaced as a precaution.
