The remote was dropped and stopped working entirely.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Canton remote arrived safely and on inspection was held together with a rubber band due to the mounting screws being broken.

On testing the issue was found to be due to a malformed battery terminal meaning the power would be shorted out when a battery was inserted.

The terminal was bent back into the correct position and the case glued together which restored full functionality.
