Customer's Fault Description
It went in the washing machine! Batteries replaced and the red light comes on now and again but nothing works.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This garage door remote arrived safely and on testing was found to have erratic button response.

When peeling back the button caps the issue was found to be due to heavy corrosion over the contacts.  The PCB was cleaned up and the corrosion etched away which restored full functionality.
