Customer's Fault Description
Both the On/Off button and the heater control have stopped working. Tried new batteries but they made no difference.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This electric fire remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the issue was found to be due to worn button contacts. Replacement button caps were fitted which restored full functionality.
The terminals had signs of contamination, these were cleaned up as a precaution.
