Customer's Fault Description
Ho Mate,
Great to chat to you this morning. I'll be sending my mums Focal Point electric fire remote control. Its just ceased working. Now my mum is sending it to me from here house in the New Forest to me in Plymouth. The description of the fault is Vague due to me not actually living in the same part of the country as mum. Apologies in advance. Could you kindly please overhaul and see if you can repair please?
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace control arrived safely and on inspection the battery housing would not seat correctly in the remote.
This was found to be due to a badly damaged terminal (see image). The terminal was reworked which restored full functionality. A replacement battery has also been supplied fitted on return.
