Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Denon remote control arrived safely and on inspection one of the battery terminals was badly corroded.
When opened it was revleaed that there were many corrosion spots on the PCB caused by the battery leak but also a liquid contamination over the button array (see images).
The terminal was replaced and when tested the remote had power but did not transmit a signal.
Eventually this was found to be due to a corrosion spot in the print near the IR led. The print was reworked which restored full functionality.
