Mertik Maxitrol Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer
Mertik Maxitrol
Customer's Fault Description
Batteries have leaked in the receiver causing it to malfunction / not work effectively.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace control and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the receiver battery block had signs of a battery leak / corrosion.

When tested the remote was found to be transmitting as per normal operation but the receiver was found to be dead / non responsive.  On opening there were random spots of corrosion over the PCB causing various opencircuits from the battery leak.  Sadly due to the issue a repair is not possible.

A quick google search was carried out and replacements can be found here - please check with the seller for information
