Sony HDD RMT-D259 Remote Repair Details

Customers Fault Description : Remote buttons are not functioning properly - they are slow to respond Have put new batteries in but this hasn't helped.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This HDD remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have various non responsive / sluggish buttons.
On opening this was found to be due to a large amount of liquid contamination (see image). The PCB and button array was cleared of all contaminants which restored full functionality.
