Remote Fixer Repair Response
This ceiling fan / extractor fan remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead. This was due to a bent battery terminal (from when the battery was inserted incorrectly). The terminal was reformed correctly which restored functionality but then it was found that the remote would transmit without a button being pressed.
This was due to contamination over the button contacts (looked like someone had used a pencil or something similar on the contacts) The contamination was cleaned up and normal functionality was then restored.
A Duracell battery has also been supplied on the remotes return
