Batteries leaked damaging the contacts and casing.

This Karaoke machine remote control arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to have badly corroded battery terminals.  The terminals were replaced and re-plated which restored full functionality.  Parts of the case also had to be glued together due to cracking.
