Possible water damage but remote now won’t work. Have changed batteries but now it won’t turn on
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This climapro remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening there were signs of a battery leak which had started to corrode through the display ribbon cable (see image).
The corrosion was cleared and the cable reworked which restored functionality. Unfortunately the screen back light will not illuminate due to the damage but this does not effect functionality.
