Remote Fixer Repair Response

This remote and receiver arrived safely and on inspection the battery block in the receiver had signs of a battery leak.  When tested the remote was found to be transmitting as per normal operation but the receiver remained dead.

The battery block was bypassed and the oscillators in the receiver replaced, this caused the receiver to illuminate on one channel only but it was also noted that the +6 volt output  was missing.  After a few minutes the receiver then died again.

Sadly due to the amount of damage a repair is not possible, it is thought that when the batteries leaked it may have surged the PCB causing many faults.

No fault was found with the remote itself.

A google search was carried out and a replacement receiver can be found here
