Customer's Fault Description
The remote does not work in spite of new battery and new Sandisk SD card.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This fireplace control arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
The issue was found to be due to a deformed battery terminal (see image), this was stopping power from getting to the PCB.
The terminal was replaced and a battery supplied which restored full functionality.
