Customer's Fault Description
Hi as per my telephone call with you at the end of last week the remotes are only working if i get very close to the receiver or door mechanism. When i stand outside garage or i'm in car they work only sometimes. I have an older remote that works every time from distance which tells me that the receiver is working fine.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
These two remotes arrived safely and on inspection both were sending a signal on each button press but one was found to be weaker than the other.
On opening the weaker remote was found to have a break in the print near the oscillator possible caused by a corrosion spot. The break was reworked which restored full signal strength as per the other control.
On the batteries in the remote the "sick strip" was still present on the battery terminal which can cause an "insulation" for the power. These were removed.
Only one charge is being made as one remote was technically sending full strength. The controls should be tested full on return.
