Customers Fault Description : remote works only if you put it 1 inch from receiving unit
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fireplace controller arrived safely from the Untied States and on inspection the screen was found to be damaged and also the transducer was faulty causing a poor signal range.
The screen and transducer was replaced as well as the battery cable which restored full functionality.
