Customer's Fault Description
Last month you very kindly fixed the non-functioning buttons on my Denon AV Amp remote (Order RF 8731). Yesterday I very stupidly managed to drop the remote onto a hard floor and now it doesn't work at all, other than flashing red light when pressing ON button.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent in nature. At first the remote started to transmit a signal on each button but after a few seconds the buttons were found to be intermittent. Then random response was found.
The control was opened to check for either cracks in the print and to carry out a component check. It was eventually found that the oscillator pins were at fault, one of them have broken away from the print. A replacement oscillator was fitted which restored normal functionality.
