Customer's Fault Description
1. Will not turn on - press the two buttons to switch on and nothing happens.<br />
2. Because I cannot turn it on I cannot check whether it is operating the mover on the caravan
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening the ribbon cable to the facia had been burned through prior to arrival, it looks like someone had replaced the battery cable and this is the most likeliest time that the burn happened (from the soldering iron).
This burn had caused the button array to be open circuit. The ribbon cable was reworked using conductive paint which then restored full functionality.
