Customer's Fault Description
Control unit will respond to down button, but not to up button (no confirmation light). Remote has just been changed for a new one.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This receiver arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a faulty up channel. The 40.5khz crystal was replaced which restored temporary functionality but sadly the fault reappeared after about an hour.
Every time a soldering iron is moved toward the PCB the item would start to work again and then go faulty after a short time. Due to this a repair is not possible also due to its age a more modern replacement is recommended.
This item was scrapper 16th March 2021 as per the customers email request
