Customer's Fault Description
i went to use the aircon after 6 months and the remote wasn't working i changed the batteries and that didnt work either
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sanyo aircon controller arrived safely and on testing was found to be intermittent. When rotating the batteries the control would sprint to life.
This was found to be due to a small amount of corrosion on the terminals that looked like a battery leak. The terminals were cleaned up and re-plated which restored normal functionality.
A couple of bad joints were also found around the IR LEDS, these were resoldered.
