Customer's Fault Description
When Remote powered the white Down Arrow (FQ-) lights up and buzzing noise heard.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This DVD Player/Digital Radio Tuner surround sound system Model XV-DV55 remote control arrived safely and on adding a power source was confirimed to buzz and have an illuminated button without it being pressed.
On opening, the buzz was found to be a small transformer that feeds the illumination circuit. This transformer isn't available as a spare to us and therefore after talking to the customer it was concluded to bypass the illumination part of the control. This restored functionality to every button but the button lights will not light up as expected.
