Customer's Fault Description
Left Batteries in while in storage . Corroded batteries ( although looked rather a small amount )
Tried lemon juice solution. Remote worked but after leaving overnight refused to work again. Applied another lemon juice but no joy.
Tried to gain access to internals but after screw removal could get no further.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This CD remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be transmitting a permanent signal without a button being pressed.
On opening there was a large amount of liquid covering much of the PCB, this was all cleaned up and it was also found that the print around the main IC was badly corroded (see images). Sadly due to this amount of damage a repair is not possible.
