Won’t work thinking a connection might be loose as tried too change the battery but still won’t work

This fire controller arrived safely and on inspection the battery cover was held on with tape (this cannot be replaced due to lack of spares) and the battery cable was visibly damaged.
The battery cable was replaced but the remote remained dead. It was found that the solder points for the LED were cracked. One these were re-soldered full functionality was restored.
