Customer's Fault Description
The metal power contact has broken, I think, where the small disc battery makes contact. A small child fiddled with it via the and battery casing and something broke.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Blaupunkt remote arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to be missing one of its battery terminals.

A replacement terminal was fitted which restored full functionality.

A CR2025 Duracell battery was supplied fitted on return.
