Functions correctly only when held within 2 inches of the receiver despite batteries having been replaced on both units.
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have a very poor signal strength.  This was due to a faulty transducer, this was replaced which restored full functionality.
