Customer's Fault Description
When I press the top button the light should come on and the door should open or close. However, the light doesn't come on and the remote is dead although the battery is OK. I have tried putting a new battery in but it makes no difference.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on testing was found to be dead.
A SMD resistor was found to be OC. This was most likely from a incorrectly inserted battery (i.e. wrong polarity). The resistor was replaced and when adding a battery was then found to light up as per normal operation and send a RF signal.
A replacement Duracell battery was provided fitted on return.
