On / Off button not working battery don’t seem to be connecting with the spring things no back on remote

This motor move controller arrived safely and on inspection was missing its battery cover and also the control "rattled" when shook.
When opened the on off switch shaft was broken off , the switch was replaced as well as the terminals and battery cover which restored full functionality.
