Gazco Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Gazco
Customers Fault Description : Batteries changed but no light lit on remote when on button is pressed. Will not switch fire on although fire responds when main switch is turned on so remote must be faulty. Please inspect and repair.
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This fireplace controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
When opened the issue was found to be a break in the print near the LED. The print was reworked which restored full functionality.
It was then found that when using a brand new Duracell battery the remote would freeze. This was found to be an issue with the overvoltage from the Duracell. A different battery was inserted which restored normal functionality.
