Bose Remote Repair Details

Manufacturer : Bose

Customers Fault Description : The remote control was working fine until last week. Since last week it is not starting even after we replaced the batteries with fresh batteries. In fact, looks like it is not turning on.

Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :

This Bose controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.  Also the back switch was broken.

The dead issue was found to be a 1r resistor, this was replaced which restored power.  The back switch was also replaced.

The remote just says no signal so a full test cannot be carried out without it being in the vicinity of the receiver.  The customer is to test the control on return.
