Customer's Fault Description
Remote batteries were left in unit and it became contaminated
AA batteries removed, but when replaced with "new" batteries the unit doesn't work

Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Valor remote arrived safely and on inspection was confirmed to have corroded battery terminals from a battery leak.
On testing the control was found to be transmitting but the button response was sluggish especially on the heat 2 button.
After talking with the customer it was concluded to carry out an "overhaul" on the remote. Replacement conductive button caps were fitted on each button which eliminated the sluggish response. The corroded terminals were replaced and also the oscillator was replaced as a precaution.
