Batteries seemed a bit loose I padded them out with cooking foil ----got a bit of smoke !!!
Remote Fixer Repair Response

This Keyton remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have a burnt and deformed battery terminal (see image).  The terminal was replaced and then when tested was found to be intermittent in power.

When opened the issue was found to be a poor solder joint.  The solder was reworked which restored full functionality.
