Customer's Fault Description
Just stopped working, was not dropped or subjected to Water
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Pioneer remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have damage to the casing (cracks and corner pieces broken off), the case cannot be replaced as spares are not available but doesn't effect functionality.
On testing the control was found to be dead. When opened this was found to be due to a broken battery terminal (see image). The terminal was soldered back into place which restored partial functionality.
It was then found that some buttons were sluggish / non responsive. Replacement conductive caps were fitted on the effected buttons which restored full functionality.
