Customer's Fault Description
The ON or OFF buttons on the remote control are not functioning. There is evidence of a battery leak inside the battery compartment.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection was found to have signs of a battery leak. When tested the control was found to be totally dead.
The terminals were er-plate, oscillator change but the item remained dead.
It was concluded that the issue lay with the IC which sadly is encase in a blob of black resin making a repair not possible.
We do however have clones available that will do the same functions as the original but looks different (see image below). This is priced at the same as what a repair would be (£20 plus £6 postage)
