Customer's Fault Description
The plug has to be repaired or changed. The buttons to be checked as well.

Remote Fixer Repair Response
This remote arrived safely and on inspection the plug end of the cable was badly damaged and 3 of the wires were disconnected.
The other end of the cable was stiff meaning that the cores were putrefied which can lead to shorts / breaks internally.
A complete replacement cable was fitted.
It was then found that two of the microswitches were faulty, these were replaced.
The customer is to carefully test the remote on return. The three disconnected cables were fitted to what is thought to be the correct pins but as schematics are not available there is no 100 percent way to know until it is tested with the bed itself.
