Customer's Fault Description
Does not appear to do anything, even with brand new batteries. I have another remote and this operates the Quad 99 CDP fine, along with the separate 99 Pre-amp. So it is not the CDP at fault. Note: this is the earlier handset supplier with the older version of the Quad 99 CDP (not the later CDP2)
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Quad 99 CDP(1) remote control arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
This was found to be due to a faulty IR LED. A replacement LED was fitted which restored full functionality (see testing video).
