Remote Fixer Repair Response
This Sony remote arrived safely and on inspection the case was split apart, the IR cover plate was missing and had "chips" out of its seam from a previous opening attempt.
On testing the control was confirmed to be dead. This was due to the IR LED being fitted incorrectly. A new IR led was fitted which restored full functionality.
The case and missing IR plate cannot be replaced as they are not available as spares, as they are cosmetic this does not effect functionality. The case was glued back together to prevent it breaking apart easily.
