Customer's Fault Description
On inserting batteries the power light flashes 3 times then it wont switch on. which is normally done by pressing the on/off switch twice.
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This motor move controller arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead. It was noticed also that one of hte inserted batteries became very warm in a short period of time.
On opening there was a mass of contamination over the button array and also on hte under side of the PCB. The corrosion on the underside of the PCB had eaten away at some of the PCBs insulation. This meant that when batteries were inserted the power was being shorted to the PCB at various points. Insulation was fitted to prevent any shorts. This restored full functionality.
Double sided tape was used on the facia as its glue had started to perish.
