Customer's Fault Description
1 does not seem to work or show writing with new batteries- missing back panel
1 seems to have a loose connection and will work intermittently but sometimes there is no text
Remote Fixer Repair Response
These two Velux remote s arrived safely and on testing one was confirmed to be dead and the other was intermittent (it would die when tapped).
The first totally dead one was opened and a component test revealed that the issue was with one of the main ICs meaning a repair was not possible.
The second control was found to have a capacitor hanging off the PCB (see image), this was causing intermittent functionality. This was soldered firmly back into place which restored full functionality.
