Customer's Fault Description
put new batteries in and not starting. Has been playing up for a bit and had to put in and take out batteries and then turn them slightly before it would light up
Remote Fixer Repair Response
This boiler remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to have intermittent power.
This was due to 2 issues, one of the terminals was found to have corrosion, this was cleared and re-plated.
The second issue was that the internal terminals were impacted making a battery connection very loose. These were bent back into place and then soldered to give more strength. Full functionality was restored.
