Velux Remote Repair Details
Manufacturer : Velux
Customers Fault Description : The Velux remote controller that opens & closes the Velux window in our kitchen roof is totally dead with no LCD display despite US changing the 3 x Duracell Ultra AA batteries in the unit
Remote Fixer Repair Response (see below) :
This remote arrived safely and on testing was confirmed to be dead.
On opening an inspection revealed a couple of SMD components had broken away from the PCB (this is a very common issue). These components were replaced but sadly the control remained dead.
Eventually after a component test it was concluded that the issue lay with one of the main ICs which has rendered a viable repair not possible.
THIS ITEM WAS SCRAPPED AS PER OUR TERMS 29TH SEPT 21
